Reed Construction was selected by Van Leeuwen for an interior retail build-out on the ground floor of Willis Tower, a Chicago historical landmark. Van Leeuwen is a nationwide retail ice cream chain with over 50 locations in the United States.

Work Completed

• Integrated custom service counters, casework and high-end finishes
• Implemented new lighting, power distribution and HVAC systems
• Coordinated core drilling through existing structural steel beams to route new plumbing systems
• Installed complete MEP infrastructure
• Delivered new grease waste, water and vent systems
• Executed demolition, waterproofing and firestopping with zero disruption to adjacent tenants
• Managed complex building coordination and permitting under stringent Willis Tower requirements
