Reed Construction was selected by Van Leeuwen for an interior retail build-out on the ground floor of Willis Tower, a Chicago historical landmark. Van Leeuwen is a nationwide retail ice cream chain with over 50 locations in the United States.
Work Completed
- Integrated custom service counters, casework and high-end finishes
- Implemented new lighting, power distribution and HVAC systems
- Coordinated core drilling through existing structural steel beams to route new plumbing systems
- Installed complete MEP infrastructure
- Delivered new grease waste, water and vent systems
- Executed demolition, waterproofing and firestopping with zero disruption to adjacent tenants
- Managed complex building coordination and permitting under stringent Willis Tower requirements
