Tishman Speyer Spec Suites

Overview

Tishman Speyer is an award-winning global real estate and operating company founded in 1978. The firm acquired The Franklin Center in Chicago’s West Loop in 2004 and renamed it The Franklin in early 2015. Reed Construction was selected to perform updates in both towers that comprise the property, with overall renovations totaling 103,802 square feet. A total of nine speculative suites, ten break rooms and four public corridors with men’s and women’s restrooms were renovated. A complete washroom was also relocated to the twenty-first floor of 222 W. Adams. Construction for each floor was completed simultaneously with staggered phasing to minimize disruptions for existing tenants. Design features of the new spec suites include full glass partition walls in offices and conference rooms, as well as multiple collaboration areas with idea paint walls. Backlit millwork feature walls and limestone floors were also included in the four new elevator lobbies.
